Fall is here! It is the time of year where the weather gets cooler and the Starbucks line get's longer as we all wait anxiously for the barista to say "Your Pumpkin Spice Latte is ready". In honor of the changing season, my team and I are sharing some secrets that help make the fall our favorite time of the year! Featuring delicious desserts, cocktails and DIY decorations. I hope we can help inspire fall in your home!
Logan's Pumpkin Pie
-1 (15 ounce) can of pumpkin
-1 (14 ounce) can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
-2 Tablespoons of Cinnamon
-1 Tablespoon of Nutmeg
-1 Tablespoon of Allspice
-1/2 Teaspoon of salt
-1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
-Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Whisk eggs until frothy then add pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, spices and salt and whisk together well. Pour into crust and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F and continue baking for 35-40 minutes or until you can insert a knife in the middle and it comes out clean. Let cool, serve and enjoy!
The Harvest Cocktail
-.05oz Cinnamon syrup
-1 large spoonful of apple butter or apple syrup
-Shake ingredients before pouring into a sophisticated coupe glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
You can have a beautiful wreath without having to pay the insane prices by making it yourself! First you have to start with a base. We found cost effective grapevine wreath at Hobby Lobby, simply click on the link to order. Then head to your local dollar tree or .99 cent store and choose the fall flowers you like. I recommend sunflowers, red leaves, and some greenery. Make sure that they are wire so that you can easily bend the flowers around the wreath so that they stay. Hot glue a small pumpkin or decoration to give it more of a flare!
